• The Association shall have four classes of membership as prescribed in the by-laws.
  • Individual classes of membership shall be entitled to the rights and privileges as prescribed in the Association’s by-laws.
  • The dues of each class of membership and the dues period shall be as prescribed in the Association’s by-laws.

Membership

There shall be four classes of membership in the Association, to be designed as: Association, Academic, Industrial and Life members. Members of the Association shall advocate the promotion or enforcement of local food regulations. Membership Qualification: Qualification for each class of membership shall be:

  1. Corporate membership-shall be industrial companies which relate to production of rice bran oil (rice oil) or the use of rice bran.
  2. Institutional membership-shall be public institutions which relate to research of rice bran oil (rice oil) or the use of rice bran.
  3. Personal membership-shall be any individual who is interested in rice bran oil (rice oil).
  4. Student membership-shall be any students from any university or institution who register in the university during the membership.
  5. Life membership-shall be persons who, on account of their substantial contributions to the objectives of this Association, have been nominated by the executive board and elected by the Association to this class of membership.

Membership Rights and Privileges

Individual classes of membership shall be entitled to the following rights and privileges in the Association:

  1. Corporate members: Corporate members shall be entitled to full rights and privileges of the Association, including the rights to be elected to the executive board, call upon a related conference and a vote on issues related to the Association. Every corporate members are entitled to nominate two members.
  2. Institutional members: Academic members shall be entitled to the rights and privileges of being elected to the executive board, calling upon related conferences and voting on issues related to the Association.
  3. Personal members: Personal members shall be entitled to the rights and privileges of being elected to the executive board, calling upon related conferences and voting on issues related to the Association.
  4. Student members: Student members shall be entitled to the rights and privileges of attending all activities of the Association and voting.
  5. Life members: Life members shall be entitled to the rights and privileges of attending all activities of the Association and voting.

Membership Dues:

  • Membership dues for all classes of membership shall be established by the executive board and shall be collected by the Association to include membership in the Association and the conferences held by the Association.
  • Membership dues shall cover a calendar year commencing on January 1 are payable on January 1 for each year.
  • Dues may be different for the different classes of membership.
  • Members, whose dues are not paid by April 1 of each year, shall be deemed in arrears and dropped from active membership until such delinquent dues are paid.

Membership obligations:

Members should contribute to the yearly report of rice brain oil expert review if nominated by executive board.
